2025 Maruti Grand Vitara CNG launched: What’s new, pricing & mileage

After a temporary lull in sales, Maruti Suzuki has brought the Grand Vitara CNG back to India. Significant improvements are included in this revised CNG version, including as improved safety measures and high-end equipment. It comes after the regular Grand Vitara recently received a makeover, demonstrating Maruti’s emphasis on offering more alternatives in its SUV lineup.

These features include a Clarion sound system and wireless charging. In addition, buyers get rear door sunshades and heated front seats. The SUV also includes TPMS and an air purifier with a PM2.5 display.

Safety Features

Maruti Suzuki has improved the safety package as well. The SUV now offers ESP and hill hold assist for better control. It also gets ABS with EBD and front and rear disc brakes. ISOFIX child seat mounts and a rearview camera further improve safety. Moreover, these updates match the safety features available in the petrol and hybrid models.

Apart from this, the SUV gets keyless entry with push-button start. Auto climate control and rear AC vents add more comfort for passengers.

Powertrain and Mileage

The SUV uses a 1.5-litre K-Series Dual Jet Dual VVT engine. This engine runs on compressed natural gas (CNG). It produces 87.8hp and 121.5Nm of torque. Maruti pairs the engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Most importantly, the SUV delivers an impressive mileage of 26.6 km/kg. As a result, it becomes one of the most fuel-efficient SUVs in its segment.

Prices

The Delta variant now costs ₹23,000 more than before.
Meanwhile, the Zeta variant gets a bigger price hike of ₹41,000.

However, the additional safety and comfort features justify the increase.

Final Verdict

The Grand Vitara CNG now offers a better mix of safety, features, and efficiency. Because of the new updates, the SUV feels more premium and practical. Its strong mileage and added comfort features also increase its value. Overall, Maruti Suzuki has made the Grand Vitara CNG a stronger option in the mid-size SUV segment.
