KTM has formally unveiled the newest versions of its well-liked LC4 platform, the 2026 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R. Both motorcycles have brand-new 692.7cc LC4 single-cylinder engines that fulfill Euro 5+ pollution standards and generate an amazing 79 horsepower and 73 Nm of torque. Compared to the previous models, KTM claims better performance, increased dependability, and longer service intervals thanks to the reworking of about 50% of the engine components.
With a new 4.2-inch full-color TFT display and KTMconnect, technology advances and riders can pair their cellphones for call management, music control, and navigation. For additional safety, Cornering ABS and Cornering MTC (Motorcycle Traction Control) are now standard on both models. While the 690 SMC R has Track Mode, launch control, and anti-wheelie features for aggressive street riding, the 690 Enduro R has an optional Rally Mode for enhanced off-road control.
Designed specifically for difficult terrain, the 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R has a WP XPLOR suspension system with 250mm of rear and 265mm of front travel. It has a tall 935mm seat height for optimal ground clearance, and it rides on 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheels. The 690 SMC R, on the other hand, is tuned for tarmac thrills and has 17-inch supermoto wheels, WP APEX suspension, and a lower 899mm seat height for incredibly quick handling.

LED headlamps, clearer in-mold graphics, and revised switchgear for better ergonomics are just a few of the aesthetic upgrades that further modernize both motorcycles. In order to keep both models at the top of their respective adventure and supermoto markets, KTM has improved the overall ride quality while maintaining the lightweight chassis and fast handling.
In September 2025, the 2026 KTM 690 Enduro R and 690 SMC R will go on sale worldwide. Although KTM India has not yet confirmed local availability and pricing, enthusiasts can anticipate that both street supermoto aficionados and adventure riders will be quite interested in these performance-focused machines.
