Targeting both long-distance riders and ardent off-road aficionados,KTM India has unveiled two new models of its 390 Adventure line in India: the revised Adventure X and the eagerly anticipated 390 Adventure Enduro R in its global specification. The new 390 Adventure Enduro R costs Rs. 3,53,825 (ex-showroom), while the updated 390 Adventure X costs Rs. 3,03,125.
New Electronics and Ride Modes
The KTM 390 Adventure X now offers several advanced electronic features. Earlier, these features were limited to higher-end KTM models. It now comes with standard cruise control. This system supports both speed limiting and cruise functions. In addition, the bike gets three ride modes: Street, Rain, and Off-road. These modes help the motorcycle adjust quickly to different road conditions.
Better Control and Safety
KTM has improved safety and handling on the 390 Adventure X. It now includes motorcycle traction control for better grip on slippery or loose surfaces. The bike also features cornering ABS. This system keeps braking stable even when the bike is leaned into a corner.
390 Adventure Enduro R Joins Lineup
KTM has also introduced the 390 Adventure Enduro R in India. This model focuses on serious off-road riding. It comes with upgraded suspension for better performance on rough terrain. KTM has used its Dakar rally experience to improve its off-road capability.
Engine and Platform
Both motorcycles use the same 373cc, single-cylinder engine. This engine is liquid-cooled and fuel-injected. KTM pairs this engine with a steel trellis frame. The setup offers a strong balance of performance and durability. The engine produces 45.3hp and 39Nm of peak torque. It works with a six-speed gearbox for smooth power delivery.
Positioning: Adventure X vs Enduro R
The 390 Adventure X focuses more on versatility. Its new electronics make it suitable for both city and highway use. On the other hand, the Enduro R targets hardcore off-road riders. It offers a more raw and terrain-focused experience with fewer compromises.
Price Difference and Strategy
KTM launched the global-spec 390 Adventure Enduro R in India after customer feedback. This version costs Rs. 17,000 more than the India-specific model. The local version has already been on sale for a few months.
Suspension and Ground Clearance
The global-spec Enduro R offers better suspension travel. It provides 230mm travel at both ends. It also has a ground clearance of 273mm. This is 19mm higher than the India-spec model. In comparison, the Indian version gets 205mm suspension travel. This setup is similar to the standard 390 Adventure.
Display and Connectivity
The bike features a 4.1-inch color TFT display. It supports Bluetooth connectivity for calls, music, and navigation. Riders can also connect their smartphone for app-based features. This adds more convenience to daily riding.
