Ahead of its official debut, the upcoming Skoda Kushaq facelift has been spotted testing once again on Indian roads, hinting at major design and feature upgrades. Despite heavy camouflage, the SUV clearly shows a sportier front profile with a redesigned grille, a sharper fascia, and slimmer LED headlamps that give it a more modern look. At the rear, Skoda is likely to introduce a new bumper along with connected LED tail lamps, enhancing its premium appeal. The facelift is also expected to get subtle styling tweaks and newly designed alloy wheels, making it more attractive and competitive in the mid-size SUV segment.
Premium Interior & Feature Upgrades
Skoda is upgrading the Kushaq’s interior to make it more premium and feature-rich. Recent spy shots reveal improvements such as enhanced ambient lighting, new upholstery, and a possible panoramic sunroof. The facelift is also expected to feature a larger touchscreen infotainment system with updated software. Additional features may include a 360-degree camera, a digital driver’s display, ventilated seats, and connected car technology, all aimed at improving comfort and overall appeal in the competitive mid-size SUV segment.
Advanced Safety with ADAS Level-2
Safety will see a major boost with the addition of ADAS Level-2 features, including automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and lane keep assist. These upgrades will strengthen the Kushaq’s safety credentials, building on its existing 5-star Global NCAP rating. Standard safety features such as ESC, traction control, and multiple airbags will continue across all variants.
Engine Options, Gearbox & Launch Timeline
Under the hood, the Kushaq facelift will retain its current engine options, including the 1.0L and 1.5L TSI petrol engines, paired with both manual and automatic transmissions. However, reports suggest that the 1.0L variant may receive a new 8-speed automatic gearbox for improved efficiency and smoother performance. Skoda is expected to launch the updated Kushaq in late 2025 or early 2026, where it will compete with rivals like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.
