Ferrari has officially launched its latest flagship supercar, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa, in India at an ex-showroom price of ₹10.37 crore. This launch represents a major milestone for the luxury performance car segment in the country, bringing back one of Ferrari’s most iconic nameplates with modern hybrid technology and extreme performance capabilities.

The 849 Testarossa revives the legendary Testarossa name, blending Ferrari’s rich heritage with cutting-edge engineering. Positioned as the brand’s new flagship offering, it replaces the SF90 Stradale and now sits at the top of Ferrari’s India lineup. The model is aimed at ultra-high-net-worth buyers who seek exclusivity, advanced technology, and track-level performance in a road-legal supercar.

Powerful Plug-In Hybrid Powertrain
The Ferrari 849 Testarossa features an advanced plug-in hybrid powertrain. It combines a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine with three electric motors. Together, this system delivers around 1,050 horsepower. This makes it one of the most powerful Ferraris ever built. Performance is equally impressive. The supercar can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds. Its top speed is expected to be around 330 km/h.
Power is sent to all four wheels through an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. In addition, a small battery pack allows the car to drive short distances in pure electric mode, improving efficiency and flexibility.
Bold Design Inspired by Ferrari Heritage
In terms of design, the Ferrari 849 Testarossa features a bold and aggressive stance. Its styling draws inspiration from Ferrari’s iconic race cars. The supercar has a low-slung body and wide proportions. These elements give it a strong and commanding road presence. Sculpted aerodynamic surfaces also help improve stability at high speeds. At the same time, subtle retro cues pay tribute to the original Ferrari Testarossa
