Hero MotoCorp has established a new standard in the commuter motorcycle market with the introduction of the Glamour X 125 in India. The bike, which retails for ₹89,999 for the drum brake version and ₹99,999 for the disc version (ex-showroom), is the first 125cc motorbike in India to have cruise control, a high-end feature never seen in this class.
The Hero Xtreme 125R is powered by the same 124.7cc Sprint EBT engine that drives the new Glamour X. It is geared for performance and efficiency, producing 10.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm and 11.4 bhp at 8,250 rpm. A bass-heavy exhaust note gives a sporty sensation, and the engine promises smoother rides with a balancer shaft and silent cam chain.
The Glamour X’s segment-first features are what set it apart. In addition to cruise control, it has three riding modes that change throttle response: Eco, Road, and Power. Additionally, riders have a full-color TFT display with over 60 features, such as variable brightness, gear position, call/SMS alerts, and navigation. Safety and convenience are further improved by LED lighting, a battery-free kick-start, and a panic brake alert.
The motorcycle’s design has a tinted windscreen, sharp tank shrouds, and LED DRLs for a strong, sporty appearance. 10% larger pillion seating, 30mm wider handlebars, and a 790mm seat height all increase rider comfort. Its usefulness is increased by other features including a USB Type-C charging port, under-seat storage, and available attachments like engine protectors, backrests, and knuckle guards.
Hero MotoCorp has revolutionized the commuter market with the Glamour X 125, which offers high-end amenities at a reasonable cost. The firm has produced a motorcycle that appeals to both long-distance riders and city commuters by integrating cruise control and riding modes in the 125cc class, making it one of the most feature-rich alternatives in its class.
