Mercedes-Benz has added the AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ Coupe, which retails for ₹1.35 crore (ex-showroom), to its inventory of high-performance vehicles in India. The CLE, which falls between the C-Class and E-Class in size, offers a special fusion of Mercedes’ opulent workmanship and AMG’s sporting heritage. With this introduction, Mercedes-Benz India expands its line of Top-End Vehicles (TEVs), catering to drivers who seek both luxurious comfort and precise performance.
Heart of an AMG – Powertrain & Speed
Under its sculpted bonnet, the CLE 53 packs a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged inline-six engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. Together, they deliver an impressive 449 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque. An overboost function briefly adds 23 horsepower for extra punch when needed.
The 9-speed AMG SPEEDSHIFT TCT transmission works with the fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system to distribute power seamlessly to all four wheels. This setup launches the car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
Electronically limited to 250 km/h, the top speed can be raised to 270 km/h with the optional AMG Driver’s Package.
