Next-Gen 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift Arriving Soon: Features, Specs & Updates

The 2026 Tata Punch EV Facelift is set to arrive in India on 20 February 2026, marking the first major mid-cycle refresh for Tata’s compact electric SUV since its launch in 2024. The updated model is expected to feature a cleaner, more contemporary exterior design with a reworked front fascia, slimmer LED DRLs, redesigned bumpers, and fresh dual-tone colour options. Subtle styling tweaks at the rear, including revised LED tail-lamps and updated badging, will help the EV maintain its rugged yet modern urban SUV appeal.

Inside, the Punch EV facelift is likely to offer an upgraded cabin experience with a larger 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, enhanced software interface, and improved connected car technology. The digital instrument cluster and driver-focused dashboard layout are expected to continue, while higher variants could get features such as wireless charging, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, and a 360-degree camera. Tata may also improve cabin materials and seat upholstery to enhance overall comfort and premium feel.

Mechanically, the facelifted Punch EV is expected to retain its existing battery options. It will likely continue with 25 kWh and 35 kWh battery packs paired with a front-mounted electric motor setup. The smaller battery version is expected to offer a driving range of around 265 km, while the larger battery pack could deliver up to approximately 365 km on a single charge, depending on driving conditions and certification figures. Fast-charging capability and multiple drive modes should remain part of the package.

With updated styling and added technology, the 2026 Punch EV facelift is expected to carry a slight price increase over the current model while staying competitive in India’s affordable electric SUV segment. Tata aims to strengthen its position in the growing EV market by offering a practical, feature-rich, and city-friendly electric SUV that appeals to first-time EV buyers as well as urban commuters looking for efficiency and modern design.
