In India and other countries, Hyundai’s second-generation Venue has been undergoing testing for a number of months. The increased frequency of sightings in recent weeks suggests the last stage of review prior to launch. The anticipated market launch will take place over the next holiday season, providing Hyundai with a new and improved entry into the small SUV market.
Major Design Changes
The proportions appear similar, but the camouflage conceals the numerous exterior alterations. The next-generation Hyundai Venue, internally designated QU2i, is anticipated to remain relatively small, but it will clearly differ from the current model thanks to new design elements. Numerous design elements, particularly in the front end, have been borrowed from larger Hyundai cars such as the Creta and Alcazar.
The front end now stands more erect thanks to the elevated vertical placement of the headlight components. This is followed by a new front grille design that uses stacked slats in place of the existing mesh pattern. The detailing indicates a more mature design direction this time around, even though the general shape is still familiar
Updates to Front and Rear
The new Venue’s visage is sharper and made more recognizable by the split C-shaped LED DRLs that flank the front lighting arrangement. Modifications are being made to the profile and back as well, not just the nose. Along the flanks, the second-generation five-seater features new body panels and freshly built 16-inch alloy wheels.
In the rear, Hyundai redesigns the bumper and tailgate and added a new roof spoiler. The upgraded tail lamp housings further enhance the vehicle’s new look. The most recent spy photo, however, confirms that a full-width connecting LED strip, which is present on some more recent Hyundai vehicles, does not appear to be included in the finished product.
Features and Technology
Level 2 ADAS and a dual-pane sunroof, both firsts for the model, will be the main features of Hyundai’s next significant feature update for the 2018 Venue. A larger touchscreen, a remodeled center console, new upholstery options, and a redesigned dashboard are all anticipated inside the cabin.
Engine and Transmission
The present powertrain selection, which includes a 1.0-liter turbo-petrol engine, a 1.5-liter diesel, and a 1.2-liter normally aspirated gasoline engine, will remain in place. A six-speed manual, a six-speed automatic, and a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission are likely to remain available gearbox options across all configurations.
Expected Launch Timeline
Production of the brand-new Hyundai Venue is underway in preparation for its saw October–December 2025 introduction in India.
