Tata Motors has officially confirmed that its premium electric vehicle brand Avinya will make its India debut in 2026. The Avinya project represents Tata’s entry into a higher-end EV segment, positioned above its current electric models. The company plans to introduce Avinya as a standalone premium EV brand with a focus on advanced technology, comfort, and sustainability. The production version is expected to closely follow the Avinya X concept showcased at major auto expos, signaling Tata’s long-term electric roadmap.
Design and Interior Highlights

The Tata Avinya will feature a futuristic and minimalist design inspired by global electric vehicles. The exterior is expected to include sleek LED lighting, smooth aerodynamic surfaces, and a bold road presence. Inside, the cabin will focus on premium comfort with a spacious, lounge-style layout, eco-friendly materials, and a clean dashboard design. Large digital displays, ambient lighting, and smart connectivity features are likely to enhance the overall driving experience.
Battery, Range and Performance Specs
Tata Avinya is expected to be built on a next-generation electric platform, offering a driving range of over 500 km on a single charge. The EV is likely to support fast-charging technology, allowing quick charging for long-distance travel. Multiple powertrain options, including rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive variants, may be introduced to cater to different performance needs. This setup will place Avinya among the most capable electric vehicles developed in India.
Expected Price and Market Positioning
Tata Motors will likely price the Avinya between ₹30 lakh and ₹40 lakh (ex-showroom). This will make it the brand’s most premium electric offering so far. The Avinya will target entry-level luxury EV buyers. At the same time, it will offer a locally developed alternative for Indian customers. Moreover, Tata aims to strengthen its leadership in the EV space with this model. The company also plans to set new benchmarks in premium and sustainable mobility.
