Mahindra is now focusing on its ICE lineup after launching three electric models in a single year. These include the BE 6, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e. Recently, the company introduced the updated XUV700, now called the XUV 7XO. This move signals a strong product strategy across both EV and petrol-diesel segments. Next, Mahindra plans to bring major updates to its popular SUVs. The Thar and Scorpio N are expected to receive significant upgrades soon.
Overall, Mahindra is balancing its electric ambitions with strong updates to its traditional lineup. This approach will help the brand stay competitive across multiple segments.

Mahindra Scorpio-N Facelift Coming Soon
Mahindra will unveil the updated Scorpio-N by April. The SUV will get several design changes. These include new 18-inch alloy wheels, a revised grille, and updated bumpers. It will also feature refreshed headlamps and tail lamps. Inside, Mahindra may add a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system. New cabin materials could further enhance the premium feel. However, the brand is unlikely to make any major mechanical changes.
Mahindra Thar Facelift in the Works
Mahindra launched the second-generation Thar in August 2020. Since then, it has become a popular lifestyle SUV. It offers strong off-road ability along with daily usability. Last year, Mahindra added new features. These include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, USB Type-C ports, a sliding armrest, and rear AC vents.
Now, the company is preparing a proper facelift for the Thar. The new model will feature a redesigned front fascia. It will also get a new six-slot grille. Moreover, Mahindra will introduce LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs. These design elements will take inspiration from the Thar Roxx.

Mahindra may continue to use 18-inch wheels, but in a different design, to better fit the 3-door model’s more off-road-oriented nature. However, some media reports also mention 19-inch alloy wheels as one of the external alterations. With new amenities like push-button start, a wireless smartphone charger, and ventilated front seats, the redesigned Thar may be even more comfortable and simpler to live with.

The facelifted Thar will probably be introduced by Mahindra with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and 1.5- and 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engines as the existing model. This also applies to the SUV’s six-speed automatic and manual transmissions. In a similar vein, a part-time 4WD system will remain in place. The redesigned Thar might go on sale in the middle of 2026.
