Mahindra is preparing a significant ICE product activity this year, following the introduction of three electric models in a single year: the BE 6, XEV 9S, and XEV 9e. Two nights back, the firm unveiled the updated XUV 700 as the XUV 7XO. The Thar and Scorpio N will soon receive comparable extensive updates.

Nearly four years after the original model’s release, the redesigned Mahindra Scorpio-N is anticipated to be unveiled by April. It should have new 18-inch alloy wheels, updated grilles and bumpers, and adjusted headlights and tail lamps. Mahindra may add a 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system and new trim materials inside. With the facelift, the corporation is unlikely to implement any mechanical adjustments.
The second generation Mahindra Thar, which debuted in August 2020, is a far more useful off-road-focused SUV that can be driven every day with ease than its predecessor. A 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, USB Type-C connections, a sliding armrest, and rear AC vents are just a few of the comfort and convenience amenities that were added to it last year.
Before it was revealed, last year’s update was long suspected of being a facelift. However, Mahindra is actually preparing a makeover for the newest Thar this year. The forthcoming model will have a new six-slot grille and a reworked front fascia with LED headlamps with C-shaped DRLs, both of which will resemble the Thar Roxx.

Mahindra may continue to use 18-inch wheels, but in a different design, to better fit the 3-door model’s more off-road-oriented nature. However, some media reports also mention 19-inch alloy wheels as one of the external alterations. With new amenities like push-button start, a wireless smartphone charger, and ventilated front seats, the redesigned Thar may be even more comfortable and simpler to live with.

The facelifted Thar will probably be introduced by Mahindra with the same 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine and 1.5- and 2.2-liter turbocharged diesel engines as the existing model. This also applies to the SUV’s six-speed automatic and manual transmissions. In a similar vein, a part-time 4WD system will remain in place. The redesigned Thar might go on sale in the middle of 2026.
