Jeep India has launched the 2026 Meridian, introducing a key interior upgrade aimed at improving space and practicality. The highlight of the update is the addition of sliding second-row seats, a feature designed to enhance comfort for passengers while making better use of cabin space in the three-row SUV.

The sliding second-row seats are available on select higher variants and offer up to 130–140 mm of fore-aft adjustment. This allows occupants to either increase legroom for second-row passengers or free up additional space for the third row. The 60:40 split layout also adds flexibility, making the Meridian more convenient for family use and long journeys.
Along with the sliding function, Jeep has improved overall seating ergonomics. The second row now offers better recline angles and a forward-tilt function, making third-row access easier. These changes directly address earlier concerns around third-row usability and make the Meridian more comfortable for all occupants.
