By introducing the improved C3X as part of its “Citroën 2.0 – Shift Into the New” strategy, Citroën India has made a striking statement in the compact SUV market. At an ex-showroom starting price of just ₹5.25 lakh, the C3X provides an unparalleled combination of affordability, flair, and technology. The addition of 15 sophisticated capabilities is the update’s standout feature, making it one of the most affordable choices in its class.
The segment-first Proxi-SenseTM passive entry and push-start system (PEPS), which provides convenience typically found in higher-end SUVs, is among the most intriguing enhancements. A HALO 360° camera with seven viewing modes, an auto-dimming IRVM for improved vision, and cruise control with a speed limiter are all available to drivers. The SUV now has a contemporary, high-end appearance thanks to the fully LED lighting system, which includes projector headlamps, DRLs, fog lamps, and luxury interior illumination.
With a big 10.25-inch Citroën Connect touchscreen that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a rear USB-C fast charger for passengers, and a dashboard wrapped in urban leatherette, the interior of the C3X has been upgraded to a premium experience. A tropicalized automatic air conditioner that cools the cabin down below 14 °C—ideal for India’s summer heat—improves comfort. With six airbags, ESP, ABS with EBD, hill-hold assist, ISOFIX mounts, TPMS, and a perimetric alarm system as standard, Citroën has taken every precaution to ensure safety.

The C3X’s dependable 1.2-liter PureTech petrol engines—a 100-bhp turbocharged variant mated to a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission, and an 82-bhp normally aspirated unit with a 5-speed manual—remain under the hood. With a 0–100 km/h time of less than 10 seconds and a fuel efficiency of up to 19.3 km/l, it strikes a mix between economy and performance. Nationwide reservations are now being accepted, and deliveries are scheduled to start in early September 2025. The Citroën C3X is poised to disrupt the market for reasonably priced SUVs with its cutting-edge technology, high-end modifications, and aggressive pricing.
