The much anticipated Trail Editions of Jeep India’s well-known SUVs, the Compass and Meridian, have been formally unveiled. Ex-showroom pricing start at ₹25.41 lakh. With tough style elements and enhanced capacity to appeal to adventure seekers, these limited editions are designed to increase the brand’s off-road appeal.
Rugged Styling and Exclusive Additions
Jeep’s off-road heritage is celebrated with the Trail Editions. Both models are given cosmetic improvements and feature additions to differentiate them from the standard versions, even if their mechanical components remain the same. These consist of:
Trail badging on the exterior
Black body cladding and accents for a more aggressive look
All-terrain tyres for better off-road performance
Unique alloy wheels
Roof rails and sportier bumpers
The cabins’ interiors are completely black with contrast stitching, Trail-specific badging, and improved infotainment software, giving them a high-end yet tough appearance and feel.
No Mechanical Changes
The 2.0-liter turbo-diesel engine that powers the Compass and Meridian Trail Editions still generates 170 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. It is coupled to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed automatic transmission. Some models still have four-wheel drive (4×4), highlighting the Trail Editions’ off-road capabilities.
Enhanced Off-Road Capability
Although there aren’t any significant mechanical changes, the Trail Editions are more adventure-ready thanks to improved approach/departure angles, somewhat better ground clearance, and a few terrain modes that maximize traction on a variety of surfaces.
Price & Availability
Due to its three-row SUV positioning, the Meridian Trail Edition is more expensive than the Jeep Compass Trail Edition, which starts at ₹25.41 lakh. Beginning in mid-July 2025, these vehicles should be offered at all Jeep dealerships in India.
Jeep is reaffirming its fundamental identity as an adventure-driven, trail-rated brand with the introduction of the Compass and Meridian Trail Editions. Customers looking for both weekend off-road excitement and urban practicality will love these limited versions, which will also draw attention when driving.
