The exact design and anticipated debut date of Mahindra’s next Scorpio N-based pickup vehicle have been fueled by spies who have spotted it testing on Indian roads once more. The tightly camouflaged prototype suggests a model that is almost ready for production and is similar to the Global Pik Up concept that was previously revealed. With a tough and capable vehicle built on the well-liked Scorpio N chassis, Mahindra is getting ready to reenter the lifestyle pickup truck market with this most recent appearance.
Design: SUV Roots, Pickup Utility
The recently spotted test mule clearly shows strong links to the Scorpio N SUV. It features a tall stance, muscular wheel arches, vertical tail lamps, and Mahindra’s signature styling.
Even under heavy camouflage, several key details stand out:
- A longer cargo bed
- Chunky 18-inch alloy wheels
- Higher ground clearance
- Integrated roof rails
- A familiar SUV-style front fascia
Mahindra will likely offer the pickup in both single-cab and double-cab versions. This setup will suit personal buyers as well as commercial users.
Powertrain and Platform
Mahindra is expected to use the same 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine from the Scorpio N. This engine produces up to 175 hp and 400 Nm torque.
The pickup may come with:
- A 6-speed manual or automatic gearbox
- A 4WD system with multiple terrain modes
- A rugged body-on-frame chassis
This setup will handle tough terrains with ease. It will also support heavy-duty commercial use and off-road driving.
Expected Launch & Global Plans
Mahindra has not confirmed the launch date yet. However, industry reports suggest a debut in late 2025 or early 2026.
The company plans to position this pickup as a lifestyle utility vehicle. It will target both Indian and global markets.
The Scorpio N pickup will compete with models like:
- Ford Ranger
- Isuzu V-Cross
- Toyota Hilux
Multiple spy sightings suggest that development is almost complete. The Scorpio N pickup combines proven mechanics with SUV-like comfort and strong utility. With this product, Mahindra could revive India’s slow pickup segment. It may also strengthen its presence in global markets.
