Yamaha MT-15 V2.0 2025 Launched at ₹1.69 Lakh in India

In India, Yamaha has officially launched the 2025 MT-15 Version 2.0, which retails for ₹1.69 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition to adding new features and color options targeted at improving rider experience and young appeal, the redesigned Streetfighter keeps up its aggressive look and high-performance DNA.

What’s New in the 2025 Yamaha MT-15 V2.0?

The basic mechanics are essentially unchanged, however the 2025 version adds minor yet useful improvements:

  • New Color Options: The MT-15 V2.0 now comes with fresh paint schemes, including the striking Cyber Green and Racing Blue, giving it a sharper and more dynamic road presence.
  • Updated Graphics: With bolder decals and body graphics, Yamaha adds a sporty edge to the already aggressive naked styling.
  • Improved Connectivity: The updated digital LCD instrument console now offers Bluetooth connectivity via Yamaha’s Y-Connect app, enabling call alerts, phone battery status, and last parking location.

Engine and Performance

The well-proven 155cc liquid-cooled, 4-valve, SOHC engine with VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology is still present under the tank of the MT-15 V2.0. It is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch and assist, and it generates 18.4 PS at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm.

This engine is famous for producing a powerful performance, particularly in the mid- and top-range, which makes it perfect for both city rides and occasional highway thrills.

Chassis, Suspension & Braking

  • Frame: DeltaBox frame ensures excellent stability and handling.
  • Suspension: USD front forks and a linked-type rear monoshock offer better damping and control.
  • Brakes: Dual disc setup with single-channel ABS provides dependable stopping power.

Features at a Glance

  • Fully digital LCD instrument cluster
  • Bluetooth connectivity via Y-Connect
  • LED headlamp and tail lamp
  • 10-litre fuel tank
  • Single-channel ABS
  • Lightweight build (141 kg kerb weight)

Competition & Market Position

The Bajaj Pulsar N160, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and KTM Duke 125 are direct rivals of the Yamaha MT-15 V2.0. The MT-15 V2.0 is a little more expensive, but its superior parts, state-of-the-art technology, and performance credentials make up for it.
