Two improvements have been made to Toyota Kirloskar Motor’s (TKM) Glanza hatchback: one focuses on safety, while the other offers aesthetic enhancements through a limited accessory bundle. Six airbags are now standard on all trim levels of the premium hatchback lineup in the domestic market, which is the bigger of the two modifications.
Safety and New Prestige Edition
Toyota now offers dual front, side, and curtain airbags as standard across all Glanza variants. This update improves overall safety. At the same time, the company has introduced a limited-edition Prestige accessory package. Dealers will offer this package from mid-June to the end of July 2025. It focuses on enhancing the car’s exterior look.
Exterior Upgrades in Prestige Pack
The Toyota Glanza Prestige edition adds several cosmetic features. It includes weather visors, rear lamp overlays, and illuminated door sills. In addition, buyers get a rear skid plate and chrome-accented moldings on the doors and fenders. ORVM highlights further enhance the styling. However, Toyota has not made any mechanical changes.
Engine and Mileage
The Glanza continues with the same 1.2-litre K-Series petrol engine. It delivers a mileage of up to 22.94 km/l with the AMT gearbox. Meanwhile, the CNG version offers an impressive fuel efficiency of 30.61 km/kg. This makes it a practical choice for daily use.
Features and Technology
Toyota keeps the feature list unchanged. The hatchback still offers a 9-inch touchscreen with smartphone connectivity. It also includes a 360-degree camera and a head-up display (HUD). In addition, Toyota i-Connect provides connected car features. Rear AC vents and tilt-telescopic steering improve comfort.
Warranty and Support
Toyota offers a standard warranty of 3 years or 1 lakh kilometres. Buyers can extend it up to 5 years or 2.5 lakh kilometres. Moreover, the brand provides roadside assistance and 60-minute quick service. Flexible finance options make ownership easier.
Price and Market Position
The Toyota Glanza starts at an ex-showroom price of ₹6.90 lakh. The company aims to strengthen its position in the premium hatchback segment. Notably, the Glanza has already crossed 2 lakh units in sales since launch. This shows its strong demand in the market.
Colours and Booking
Toyota offers the Glanza in multiple colour options. These include Sporting Red, Insta Blue, Enticing Silver, Gaming Grey, and Café White. Buyers can choose from single-tone and dual-tone options. Customers can book the car online through Toyota’s official website or visit authorized dealerships.
