Mahindra Bolero 2025 (New Gen): Features, Design & Expected Launch

Platform & Powertrain

  • Based on Mahindra’s most recent NFA (New Flexible Architecture) monocoque platform, the new-generation Bolero is scheduled to debut on August 15, 2025, possibly during Independence Day festivities.
  • It is possible to retain the 2.2 L mHawk (75–100 PS) diesel engines from the Bolero Neo and Scorpio Classic. It connects to a 5-speed manual gearbox. Future choices for gasoline, hybrids, or even electric vehicles are also possible because the NFA platform supports them.

Exterior Design & Styling

  • The Bolero maintains its iconic boxy and upright posture while adding bulging body panels and sharper lines for a more rough and upscale appearance.
  • Key styling details include:
    • Round LED projector headlights with massive ORVMs and a vertical-slat grille
    • Side steps, plastic cladding, flush-mounted door handles, squared-off wheel arches, and multi-spoke alloy wheels (17–18″) that are similar of the Scorpio N and Thar designs
    • A spare wheel put on the rear with vertical LED taillights and a high-mounted stop lamp integrated into the spoiler

Interior & Technology

  • A digital cluster taken from Scorpio-N and a big touchscreen infotainment system with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are features of the updated center console and dashboard.
  • A panoramic sunroof (first for the Bolero), wireless charging, keyless entry, automatic climate control, a top-tier stereo system, and other comfort features are all possible additions.

Safety & ADAS

  • Top-spec cars, including the Thar Roxx and XUV 3XO, should have Level 2 ADAS features, such as automated emergency braking, lane departure assistance, frontal collision warning, and traffic sign recognition.
  • Dual airbags, ABS with EBD, traction control, parking sensors, a rearview camera, TPMS, and hill-hold control are other anticipated safety features.
  • Confirmed August 15, 2025, premiere date, with a possible October 2025 market launch.
  • Estimated ex-showroom pricing of ₹10–12 lakh places it competitively in the mid-SUV market.

What This Means

Mahindra’s 2025 Bolero represents a dramatic change, moving away from its ladder-frame heritage and toward a monocoque architecture while greatly enhancing comfort, technology, and design. It seeks to combine traditional roughness with modern appeal by including lookalikes of the Defender and G-Wagen in its stylistic universe, but at a price point targeted for Indian consumers.
